DASMOS - 2010

The department of Anatomy, ACMS organised DASMOS-2010 (Delhi Association of Morphological Sciences) a bi-annual gathering of anatomists of Delhi & the NCR region on 03/04/2010. Almost 90 anatomists from AIIMS, LHMC, MAMC, VMMC, UCMS and other medical colleges of the NCR participated in the event.

The day opened with lunch which was followed by a scientific session. The Welcome Note was given by Lt. Col. S. Ghatak, Prof. and Head, Department of Anatomy, ACMS. Three papers ("Study of histology of round ligament of uterus - Lt. Col. T. Srivastava, "Hepatic artery variations: A case report - Maj. D. Bandopadhyay, "Bony particles and bridges on posterior arch of Atlas vertebra - Dr. Y. Yadav) were presented. 

The session was chaired by Dr. Ved Prakash (former HOD, LHMC), Dr. Gayatri Rath (HOD VMMC) and Dr. Vishram Singh (HOD Santosh Medical College, Gaziabad).  The day ended with a vote of thanks followed by evening tea.

CME (Medical teachers training program, August 21-23, 2009)

The Department of Medical Education, ACMS conducted a training program for health professionals in education science and technology. The aim of this program was to train medical teachers and assist them in framing objectives, selection of appropriate teaching/ learning techniques. Instructional material and assessment devices were used to find out whether the objectives had been achieved.
